Specialty Ferry to Cape Lookout
This very popular trip has been extended to five hours, allowing more time to explore and enjoy the spectacular Cape Lookout National Seashore. This special trip includes a 45 minute, comfortable, fully narrated, ferry ride of sightseeing aboard one of our new, large, 49-passenger catamaran style pontoon boats. When departing from Beaufort, we will be cruising along to Cape Lookout, looking for dolphins, wild horses and local bird species. Once on the island, you can sit back and relax on the beach, enjoy our beautiful seashore and find some of the best shelling on the East Coast. While here, you can get spectacular photos of the Lighthouse. You can also check out the Keeper’s Quarters Museum, the National Park store, and the east beach of South Core Banks. Prepare for fun and adventure! Go for a swim or just explore the shore, looking for seashells as you walk along the water.
NEW! This extended trip now allows guests to enjoy our popular “Beach Shuttle”. This side trip takes passengers down to the “iconic point” for a great shelling experience. Passengers on this trip will be issued a $5 discount for the beach shuttle.
Your bathing suit, camera, and beach towel are all you will need to enjoy a memorable day on the Cape Lookout National Seashore. As this is our most popular trip, reservations are a MUST!
Our Kubotas are not permitted to rent for this specific cruise.
We are the only ferry authorized to drop off at the Lighthouse! Book your trip online. Although infants (ages 2 & under) are free, they must still be included in your reservation.
