Visit Shackleford Banks East End by Ferry

This approximately 25-minute Shackleford ferry ride takes you to the east end of Shackleford Banks. You can enjoy captivating sights of wild horses, explore seashells and birds, and go camping with the view of the lighthouse in the distance.

Shackleford Banks offers a place of tranquility as you watch for local bird species and the famous Banker horses. With a herd of over 100 horses roaming the island, you may glimpse of the wild horses that call this island home. Take a ferry ride with Island Express Ferry to see some of the few wild horses of North America.

Although infants (ages 2 & under) are free, they must still be included in your reservation.

**During our Fall/Winter months we may use either our 27 Foot Carolina Skiff or our 45 Foot Corinthian Catamaran. A minimum of 4 adult tickets is required for trips to run. **
